Rock Island Charters operates from a 20 foot 'pilothouse' boat. We have a small cabin to enable our guests to escape adverse weather, in fine weather you will be asked to remain out on deck.

The boat has a small chemical toilet on board.

The boat has a mini fridge on board that may be used by guests if there is space.

The boat, 'TIDOS' is coded by a local marine surveyor and meets all the required safety legislation.

The boat 'WHITE RABBIT' carries all the required safety equipment on board such as life jackets, life raft, flares, vhf radio etc.

Life jackets must be worn by crew and guests at all times. We carry the very latest 'slimline' life jackets by Spinlock, you won't even know you're wearing it.

Your skipper, Adam Redfern carries an RYA commercially endorsed qualification and is licensed to operate vessels up to 24 meters in length in daylight and fair weather, up to 20 miles from a nominated port, namely Helford River or Port Pendennis in Falmouth.

Your skipper, Adam Redfern is trained in first aid and the boat carries a CAT C first aid kit on board.

We at Rock Island Charters will advise you on conditions and suitable clothing nearer the time of your trip. We always advise wearing suncream at sea, even on overcast days.

Some fishing trips, particularly bream trips in the creeks may require an early start or late finish for best results, depending on conditions and tides. We do put our customers first with regards our operating hours, if we are on the fish and you want to stay an hour later to capitalise then we will be more than happy to stay.

We strongly advise you inform friends and family of your trip with us and pass on our contact details.

Nearly all our trips are within 2 miles of the shoreline and mobile phone signal is generally good.

We unfortunately do not allow dogs on our fishing trips. Dogs will be considered for sea safari. Obviously we are a small vessel so three guests with two lively German shepherds, for example may compromise our safety at sea.

All trips on Rock Island Charters shall not be aborted for seasickness unless all paying guests are in agreement
